Redwood Coast Senior Center provides stimulating activities, essential programs, and services for active elders. Located in Fort Bragg, on the magnificent Mendocino Coast, our historic community center supports optimal wellness and healthy aging.
Redwood Coast Seniors is the 501(c)3 non-profit host to Redwood Coast Senior Center. (EIN: 23-7286987) Tax deductible contributions are an important source of funds for this program. Other program funds are provided by the federal Aging Americans Act, California Department of Aging, and the local Area Agency on Aging.
Think of us as the “elder taxi.” We don’t run scheduled routes. Instead, folks call in and we go pick them up at home and deliver them to their destinations. Door to door and back again for all seniors, 1,000 rides a month and growing. Our drivers personally assist with people and their packages – whatever it takes to make our elders comfortable, secure, and independent. MTA pays a big part of the bill, because we’re partners with them. Of course, we have to make up the extra cost ourselves. Rides cost $1.00 to $3.00 (with a Multi-ride punch card) depending on how far out from Fort Bragg you are going.
