Board of Directors Meeting

Minutes

December 11, 2009

Friday 1:00 p.m. in Conference Room

I. Call to Order

a.   Board members present

Jim Graham, Phoebe Graubard, Kathleen Johnson, John Whatley, Brandt Stickel, Barbara Cole, Laurel Moss, Wilma Gromer

b. Staff: Janice Thomaides, Charles Bush

c. Guests: Connie Korbel, Horace Mann, Richard Bromer

II. Approval of the Minutes

Minutes of the previous Board Meeting were unanamously approved (Stickel-motion, Graubard-second)

III. Announcements

Senior Center will be closed during the week between Christmas and New Years for carpeting and kitchen floor repair. Local restaurants will offer special Senior Discounts for lunch with Senor Center Coupon Booklet

IV. Audience Comments

Connie Korbel, back from vacation and an award for outstanding journalism will do a final wrap up article on the Senor Center and the Grand Jury Process.

V. Correspondence

We have received more thqn 275 mail in donations, many with cordial notes congratulating the Center on its progress.

VI. Board Reports

a.   Presidents Report

Weekly management meetings with Executive Director are effective and useful way to review operations.

Special Fund Raising Meals are fun, effective, and enjoyed by our clients.

b.  Treasurers Report

The Profit/Loss statement shows Center is operating at about $8,000 under budget despite lower meal contributions.
